Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the ‘2nd Millennium Light Glory Club Tennis Tournament’ held at 9 stadiums, including the Yeonggwang Sportium tennis court, was successfully concluded on the 6th.

In this tournament, which was held in the men’s and women’s open divisions, 160 teams and 350 players and officials participated, performing at a high level with enthusiastic support. Thanks to the recently increased popularity of tennis, the participation of amateurs in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions was also more enthusiastic than ever.

The players competed fiercely from the preliminaries, advanced through the finals, and competed in the finals held at the Yeonggwang Sportium Tennis Court. As a result, the team of Noh Han-sam and Kim Jong-gyu took first place in the men’s open division, and the team of Shin Su-jeong and Choi Joo-hyun took first place in the women’s open division, receiving warm applause from the audience.

A military official said, “This competition was a meaningful event that greatly contributed to revitalizing recreational sports, expanding exchanges between regions, and creating a healthy sports culture.
