World Cup 2026 Tickets: DFB Fans Discount Guide

FIFA is introducing a new ticket price category in response to global protests against high entry prices for World Cup games. The new basic tariff is a fixed price of 60 US dollars (51 euros) per ticket and game for all 104 games including the final. The quota is available to the respective national associations, which decide on the award modalities themselves.

Supporters of the German national team also have the chance to get cheaper tickets for the World Cup. The special quota for participating teams can be used German Football Association (DFB) are now distributing the tickets for the games of national coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team to the fans next summer.

However, there is a limited number of tickets: Germany, like all other teams, has eight percent of the tickets available per game for the fan block. There are 4,307 cards against Curaçao, 2,452 against Ivory Coast and 4,826 against Ecuador. Ten percent of these tickets, i.e. several hundred per preliminary round game, fall loudly FIFA into the new basic category.

The DFB and the fans’ association continue to criticize FIFA

The international fan association Football Supporters Europe welcomed the move, but at the same time expressed criticism. The number of cheap tickets is too small and the gaps between the categories are too large. In addition, fans with disabilities are hardly taken into account. According to the association, the world association should enter into a serious dialogue that respects the contribution of the fans.

The DFB also recently criticized the sometimes very high ticket prices. The cheapest tickets in the national team’s fan block for the three group games next summer were previously available for the first game against Curaçao on June 14th in Houston from 155 euros. At least 190 euros had to be paid for the game against Ivory Coast on June 20th in Toronto. Fans were able to watch the last group game on June 25th against Ecuador in East Rutherford live in the stadium, at best for 230 euros.

The maximum prices for the preliminary round games are 430 euros (first game), 515 euros (second game) and 600 euros (third game). The World Cup will take place from June 11th to July 19th in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
