Wembanyama vs. Thunder: Injury Update & Status

Returning from injury a little over a week ago, Victor Wembanyama has played a series of matches in recent days, and could therefore take an evening off this Tuesday against Oklahoma City.

According to Maxime Aubin of The TeamWemby is indeed listed “doubtful” for tonight’s Spurs – Thunder. Maybe he will play, maybe not, but rest assured Victor has not relapsed.

The Spurs simply continue to play the precautionary card with their young superstar. We remind you that Wembanyama has started matches as a substitute since his return, and that he was on a minutes restriction (around 20 minutes per match).

Victor Wembanyama is listed as doubtful by the Spurs for tomorrow’s match against the Thunder, due to the management of his left calf injury.

The good news? This is not a relapse, simply a precautionary measure after having played 5 matches…

Victor Wembanyama has played five matches in the last ten days, after a month of absence with his calf problem. The highly anticipated reunion with the Thunder – after the huge NBA Cup semi-final in Las Vegas – may have to wait until Christmas.
