Swiss tennis player Stanislas Wawrinkaformer world number 3 and champion of three Grand Slam tournaments, announced this Friday that the 2026 season, in which he will turn 41will be the last of his career, which began in 2002 on the professional circuit.

Wawrinka won the Australian Open in 2014, Roland Garros in 2015 and the US Open in 2016pinnacles of his career along with the gold in doubles that he achieved at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games with Roger Federer and the Davis Cup that both won for Switzerland also in 2014.
