Trieste closes 2025 with second knockout in a row in the championship. After Varese comes the defeat against the Italian champions Virtus Bologna. 74 to 66 for the Black Vs without Smailagić and Edwards and after eight minutes of the match also Diarra who got hurt.
Bologna, however, immediately puts its head forwardclosing the first quarter on plus three, 25 to 22, and on plus five 44 to 39 at halftime with Morgan scoring 15 points. Trieste, without Sissoko, remains in the game with Candussi’s triple.

Bologna has greater physical strength and the difference is made by Derrick Alston’s baskets, a triple with a foul which one minute from the end brings Virtus to the plus-six.
It ends 74 to 66 with Gonzalez’s team shooting 37 percent from the field and Bologna who with 19 points from Morgan and 16 from Alston beat Palatrieste and remain at the top of the table. Biancorossi in seventh place however joined by Napoli at 12 with 5 teams chasing before the trip to Trento.
