Visma-Lease a Bike and Jonas Vingegaard have taken each other to a higher level. The Dane gave the Dutch team its first overall victories in the Tour in 2022 and 2023, this year he won the Vuelta.
Vingegaard to Uno-X?
However, there were also some tensions this year. His wife and manager Trine Hansen gave a critical interview during the Tour. She complained that Vingegaard was away from home too often for altitude training.
“It is right to ask whether he should not look for another team,” Bjarne Riis said at the time. The link with a transfer to the Scandinavian Uno-X, a team with Danes and Norwegians, was quickly made.
