Veteran-SM 2026: Team Registration Open!

Sweden’s volleyball veterans are warmly welcomed to the 2026 edition of the Veteran Championship and Grand Prix. Those who are of age should gather their old volleyball gangs and sign up.

The thought of teaming up with teammates from bygone eras and challenging old rivals together should be a spur to many. It will be a wonderful reunion and a weekend to remember!

Since 2018, the Veteran Championship has been part of the huge and annually recurring GP weekend in Uppsala, where participating young people, elite players and veterans together show that volleyball is a sport for life. Volleyball’s stalwarts have a large part in the Grand Prix establishing itself as one of Swedish Volleyball’s major meeting places.

Anyone born in 1989 or earlier may participate. The following five competition classes are decided:

  • 35+ Ladies: Players born in 1989 or earlier
  • 35+ Men: Players born in 1989 or earlier
  • 50+ Ladies: Players born in 1974 or earlier
  • 50+ Men: Players born in 1974 or earlier
  • 65+ Open: Players born in 1959 or earlier (ladies and gents play together using an adapted layout)

The registration gates are open until Monday 5 January at 23:59.
