Venus, 45, thanked her fiance in the stands at the DC Open after becoming the second oldest woman player to win a tour-level singles match in July. According to the IMDb website, Pretti is a Danish-born Italian model and actor.
Before participating in the DC Open held in Washington, Venus had not participated in any tournament for 16 months.
Venus, a seven-time Grand Slam singles champion, plans to play her 33rd consecutive season on the WTA Tour starting in January.

“We met at the Gucci show,” Venus recalls. According to Vogue, Andrea spoke to him during an aperitivo, which led to a conversation over WhatsApp and a meeting with his family in London.
Venus said, ‘I was on a trip to Lake Como with my sisters when I got a last-minute invite and I suddenly decided to go, and Andrea was tired. Neither of us were planning to go there.

Their first wedding took place on September 18 in Ischia, Italy, followed by a second ceremony in Palm Beach to honor Venus’s Florida roots.
The week-long celebration included yacht parties, pool parties, sports events and dinners with family and friends. “We love welcoming people into our home every day,” Venus says.
According to Vogue, the couple had a private courthouse ceremony on Friday morning, which they described as “beautiful, serene, sacred, exciting and spectacular.” Venus wore a Morilee New York dress, while Andrea came out with her mom to the Jackson 5’s “I’ll Be There.”
