  • Touch down Västerås!

    Hello in the cabins!

My name is Linnea and I am a reporter here at Aftonbladet.

Right now photographer Carolina Byrmo and I have just landed in Västerås – ready for Christmas Day and the big homecoming night of the year.

We look forward to hanging out with all the revelers during the evening and hope for an intense, fun and atmospheric night. Just the way a genuine homecoming night should be.

If you see us in town, just come over and say hello.

And those of you who are not out tonight can of course follow everything that happens here in the live chat.

  • I had no idea about Homecoming Day, but I’m from Stockholm so apparently it wasn’t a big deal

  • What a matter of course! When I was young, it was always Christmas Day at Garbo in Sundbyberg/Stockholm. which applied. What a lot of fun you had there. What an era that went to the grave when they closed!

  • Homecoming Day does not exist as a phenomenon in Stockholm. Christmas day for me is eating a ham sandwich and onions on the sofa. It would feel strange to go out and drink then.

  • Are you kidding? Completely sold out since yesterday 🥴. Church, Donken, dogs, kids, Santa, Christmas gift games, relatives, uncomfortable fine clothes, Mariah Carey etc…

Tonight it will be the sofa – SO good! 🤓
