U15-U19 German Championships Hoyerswerda 2024

The national youth elite from the U15, U17 and U19 age groups met at the German Individual Championships U15-U19 in Hoyerswerda 2025. The singles, doubles and mixed doubles titles were awarded in exciting competitions.

In the U15 age group, Alexander Franzke (BC Phönix Hövelhof) almost achieved the triple: He secured the German championship title in mixed doubles alongside Krittika Roy (TuS Schwanheim) and gold in the boys’ doubles together with Ben Schneider (MTV Nienburg). Franzke also achieved second place in the boys’ singles, impressively confirming his strong tournament performance.

Sarah Nickel (SV Fun-Ball Dortelweil) was also twice successful in the U17. She won the girls’ singles title and also triumphed in the girls’ doubles together with Alexia Nedelcu (TSV Neuhausen-Nymphenburg Munich). Both train at the Bertolt Brecht School in Nuremberg and underlined their leading role in young German badminton.
