Already out for the entire season, due to his ruptured Achilles tendon, Tyrese Haliburton will therefore rub shoulders with former glories like Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade or Steve Nash, during his convalescence.
« The great thing about Prime Video is that there are a lot of ex-players talking about the game » he appreciates. “ It’s important that Dirk, D-Wade, Candace Parker, [Udonis Haslem] and Steve Nash can talk about the game. More understanding and less criticism
Tyrese Haliburton was looking forward to this new consulting adventure and, as he is still active, he intends to help fans better understand the game and the players of the modern NBA.
« For a casual fan just checking out a match, headliners are important » he believes. “ And it’s sometimes a little too critical in the NBA, there are sometimes too many stories. We talked about it during the Finals and it was refreshing to see the Pacers face the Thunder, because there were fewer legacy stories [de certains joueurs]. The positivity that emanates from the Prime Video teams – and which differs from what can be offered elsewhere – is precisely what Tyrese Haliburton has liked since the launch of the system in October.
« This is important because it allows the casual fan to better understand the game » he adds. “ And if people understand the game better and talk more about what’s going on in front of them, it benefits our sport in general because it will be celebrated more, there will be more positivity around it.
