TSV Kronshagen: Fitness & Team Building | Gymnastics & Sports Club

Monday, December 22, 2025 | Judo (news)

Even though regular training in the Eichendorff School sports hall is paused during the holidays, the TSV Kronshagen judoka remain active. In order to maintain the training rhythm and consolidate the athletic fundamentals, coach Issa invited today to an alternative training session outside of the usual tatami.

Endurance as a basis for competition
Ten young athletes from the competition groups met in the morning for a joint running session. Over a distance of around 8 kilometers, they challenged their endurance – an essential component in judo in order to maintain the necessary concentration and explosiveness even in the golden score phase or in strenuous tournaments.

Relaxation and community in the Hörnbad
After the physical strain, the focus was on the communal aspect. The group switched from running shoes to the Kiel Hörnbad. In addition to regeneration in the water, the time in the swimming pool offered space for exchange without the pressure of performance.

These measures are an integral part of the Kronshagen philosophy: Individual development is promoted not only through technical training (Uchi-komi) and Randori in the hall, but also through targeted physical stimuli and a strong social structure within the group.
