TSV Juniors: District Champions 2024

– Freystädter defended both titles at the district championships in Neumarkt and Landshut.

Two Freystadt junior badminton teams took part in the team championships of the Lower Bavaria-Upper Palatinate dual district. Even without the DM drivers, the students – as well as the youth team – confidently defended their previous year’s title and won the district cup for the fourth time in a row.

In the student final, TSV Freystadt defeated Post SV Landshut 8-0 in the WGG in Neumarkt. Sophia Kurenkova, Kara Stocker, Lasse Wittmann, Leif Wittmann, Noah Braun and Tim Uhlig played on the winning team. The U19 team competed in Landshut. Two U11 players replaced the ill Fynn Tauscher. With the 6-2 victory over Landshut, TSV (Paula Schuster, Elisa Herrler, Vincent Zeller, Thomas Schuster, Lasse Wittmann, Leif Wittmann and Noah Braun) demonstrated their dominance.

The school and youth teams qualified for the Bavarian team championships as district champions. “With the DM medalists, a podium place at the “Bavarian” should be possible,” believes youth director Christian Mader.
