Trevon Diggs: Cowboys’ Star Returns Sunday?

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs could return to action on Sunday, with the Cowboys expected to take his name off injured reserve, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Diggs has been on the injured list since October 25 and, given DaRon Bland’s injury, he could enter the team as a backup. The final decision will be made during the day.

Diggs suffered a concussion in late October due and is also dealing with a knee injury.

In six games this year, the 27-year-old has collected just 18 tackles, without getting an interception or a pass breakup.

He had his best season in 2021, when he made 11 interceptions, including two returned for touchdowns, in addition to amassing 21 pass breakups.

The Cowboys defense is once again one of the worst in the NFL. Dallas ranks 29th in the league in total yards allowed, with 374.9, and last in average air yards allowed, with 254.8.

With the end of the regular season crucial for the Cowboys, who clearly need to win their last three games to hope to participate in the playoffs, the addition of Diggs to the squad could be beneficial.
