Starting with Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de France at just 16 years old, David Boly was injured in the first half and saw his big debut be wasted. In tears, he left the pitch and was replaced by João Neves before returning directly to the locker room.
The contact which led to this sad exit dates back to the 20th minute. While in possession of the ball on his right flank, the Parisian Titi had his Achilles tendon stepped on by Vendée Fromaget. Lying on the ground, the full-back took several seconds before getting up and returning to his place. Treated by club doctors, he nevertheless tried to continue the match.
However, the pain was too much. Eight minutes later, and after Désiré Doué (25th) opened the scoring, David Boly sat down on the pitch and asked for a change. In tears, he was taken towards the exit of the field by the doctors. João Neves replaced him and took his place in midfield. Senny Mayulu has slipped to the right-back position.
At 16, David Boly is one of Paris Saint-Germain’s great hopes. Right side, he embodies one of the solutions to allow Achraf Hakimi to breathe more regularly in the future.
His exit did not disturb the European champions who quickly doubled the lead on a penalty from Dembélé.
