Trelew Veterans League: Clausura Champions Crowned

The Javier “Turco” Saaud Tournament organized by the Trelew Veterans Football League crowned the champions of all its categories. There were teams that reached the grand final with more than one category, but were unable to achieve the desired double.

They were Rayo Valletano, champion in Senior A and Runner-up in Over 50 A; and San Ramón, which fell in the finals of Senior A and Master A. Obviously, beyond the disappointment of not being able to do the two Olympic rounds, it is very valuable to have reached the final stage in more than one category.

There were other “finals” that did not give the champion title, but they did give great satisfaction as they were matches for the second promotion or to maintain the category.

The name of the tournament -Javier “Turco” Saaud- was due to a final tribute to the former player, coach and leader, highly appreciated in the League by all who had the opportunity to meet him.
