TotalEnergies Signs Riders After Arkéa-B&B Hotels Closure | Cycling News

It was expected, it’s official! The TotalEnergies cycling team announced on Friday the recruitment of Thibault Guernalec, Mathis Le Berre and Pierre Thierry. Three Breton riders left on the sidelines after the Arkéa-B&B Hotels team stopped at the end of the 2025 season.

“This change in structure marks a turning point in my career. This is the first time I have left my native Brittany to join a new team, but the motivation remains the same,” Guernalec, 28, the most experienced of the three, said in a press release.

A time trial specialist, he became European mixed relay champion with the French team this year.

“Given the situation in which Arkéa-B&B Hotels found itself, I was touched by the respect and empathy shown by the members of the Team TotalEnergies staff. They had targeted my profile but were able to be patient and kind,” underlined Le Berre, 24 years old.

With these three signings, most of the Arkéa-B&B Hotels riders have found refuge in a new team, including Clément Venturini, winner of this season’s Coupe de France, who joined the Unibet Rose Rockets team on Thursday.

TotalEnergies will have recruited six riders this winter (after Bouchard, Breuillard and Lévêque), for a final workforce of 28 men in 2026.
