Dany Jean, in the 24th minute, and Costinha, in the 64th, sealed the progress of the Torres Vedras team, which also saw the ‘geese’ reduce by Jérémy Livolant, from a penalty, in the 81st.
In a game that started with an interesting rhythm, Tiago Morais was the first to try his luck, but it was the visitors who took the lead, in the 25th minute: Costinha combined well with Musa Drammeh on the left of the attack, with the latter crossing low for Dany Jean to score the goal.
Already in added time in the first half, Unai Pérez twice held the advantage of the ‘maroon’ team, which could have even widened the gap in that period, when David Sousa cut a shot from Dany Jean over the goal line.
Determined to equalize the tie, the ‘Casapians’ entered more aggressively in the second half and benefited from two good chances: first, by Nsona, who headed near the left post, and then by Jérémy Livolant, who saw Unai Pérez stop his attempts.
The task of the primodivisionistas, however, became quite complicated in the 64th minute, when Costinha took a low free kick to the left of the attack and goalkeeper Daniel Azevedo, in a move with many faults, let the ball slip into the goal.
Casa Pia still reduced the score to 81 through Jérémy Livolant – following a penalty in which referee João Gonçalves was alerted by the video referee to a handball by Mohamed Aku-Diadié –, but the passage no longer escaped the Torres Vedras team, who scheduled a meeting with União de Leiria, also from the II League, in the next stage of the competition, scheduled for January 14th.
