Who are the athletes to follow?
Since the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, there has always been at least one representative from the Republic of Korea in the final of the women’s individual archery event. KANG Chaeyoung will therefore be eagerly awaited this Friday, July 30 at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Range. Nicknamed “the destroyer”, she was voted Archer of the Year 2019 and has already won Olympic team gold on Sunday.
Brilliant in the qualifiers, Indian Deepika Kumari won two World Cup stages this year and will be among the South Korean’s strongest competitors. The French Lisa Barbelin, recently titled European champion, will not be there to make up the numbers during this individual women’s final.
