The Minnesota Timberwolves are once again starting to look like that team that is a real thorn in their side. They are not the most attractive nor are they considered by anyone as contenderbut the reality is that they have been victorious in 9 of their last 11 games, including a victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder and this past morning at home against the Milwaukee Bucks by 103-100.
If a team knows how to sweat, it is Minneapolis. On a very difficult night for Anthony Edwards, who scored 24 points but with a painful 7 of 24 shooting from the field, Chris Finch’s boys knew how to overcome a deficit of up to 16 points in the third quarter to resolve in the last quarter a match that also helped them to place themselves in fifth place in the Western Conference with a balance of 19-10.
To experience this great moment of results, it is true that they have been supported by a calendar that, although it has presented them with difficult rivals, has also meant that of the aforementioned 11 matches they have had up to eight at home. Curiously, no defeat has come on the road.
What seems clear is that one more year the Wolves are going to be a threat. Starting from the second line, they seem delighted with that role as an ‘underappreciated’ team while they once again establish themselves as one of the best defenses in the League; Not in vain do they have the sixth best defensive rating, allowing 112.3 points per 100 possessions.

Although Minnesota has been looking for a replacement at point guard for a long time, Mike Conley is willing to say goodbye doing what he does best: giving his all on the hardwood. Against Milwaukee he shone in a second half in which he led his team to raise the defensive level, contributing 6 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Chris Finch ended up delighted with his work.
