At the close of the group stage, the Paris FC fell 0-2 against Barcelona, current champion of the tournament, in a match in which Sheika Scott came on as a substitute in the 60th minute and played just over 30 minutes, adding experience in a highly demanding match against one of the strongest teams in Europe.
The French team finished this stage with eight pointsthe product of two victories, two draws and two defeats, results that allowed it to be among the clubs that advanced to the knockout round of the competition.
With this classification, Scott, 19, could become the second Costa Rican soccer player to compete in a direct elimination phase of the Women’s Champions League, after the historic Shirley Cruz.
