Thiago Silva to Fluminense: Official Announcement

Fluminense FC informs that defender Thiago Silva formalized, on the afternoon of this Tuesday (16/12), at CT Carlos Castilho, his contract termination with the club.

A graduate of Tricolor’s youth teams, Thiago ends his second spell with Fluminense’s professional team. Champion of the 2007 Copa do Brasil, the captain has played 212 games and scored 19 goals wearing the tricolor armor.

Thiago Silva, who returned to the club last year as a world football legend, leaves a legacy of dedication and love for Fluminense. The club is grateful for all the athlete’s dedication and professionalism throughout his career and wishes him much success on his new journey.
