The Swiss swordsmen thus resoundingly confirm the 2nd place obtained in the Saint-Maur-des-Fossés tournament last May. In Vancouver, they successively beat Australia, Spain, Hong Kong, Taiwan and therefore France.
Trailing 29-30 in a thrilling final, the Swiss quartet turned the tide thanks to Alexis Bayard who allowed his team to lead 34-33 before the final relay. Ian Hauri maintained this advantage until the end.
