The Colombian striker Luis Javier Suarez was the protagonist of Sporting Lisbon this Sunday, scoring a double in the 4-0 victory against Star of Amadora in the Portuguese League.
Samario’s goals came in the 11th and 54th minutes, respectively, while with his teammates Eduardo Quaresmaat 7 minutes and Ivan Fresneda at 25. This victory allows the Colombian’s club to remain in second place in the table with 31 points.
With his double, the ‘coffee grower’ has nine goals in the current season of the Portuguese League.
Suárez is sweet with the goal, since in midweek, he had scored in the Champions League in the 3-0 victory against Bruges.
In addition, also during the week he was awarded as the top scorer of the Spanish second division league, for his performance with Almería, a team with which he scored 27 goals in the season.
That performance allowed him to change leagues and countries and that is why he arrived in Portugal, to Sporting Lisbon.
In total, Luis Javier has already accumulated nine goals in the Portuguese League and next Friday, they will visit Benfica, Richard Rios, at 3:15 pm, (Colombia time).
