The ‘Minho’ side beat Caldas SC in a match this Tuesday for the round of 16 of the competition. If there were no goals in the first half of the match, in the second half Braga scored three and guaranteed passage to the next stage of the queen cup. Marking this game was a protest from the home fans.

Sporting de Braga, from the first division, today qualified for the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup in football, by beating Caldas, from League 3, 3-0, in a game played in Torres Vedras.
In a match marked by opposition from the Caldas team due to the change, on Monday night, of the venue of the game from Campo da Mata, in Caldas da Rainha, to Torres Vedras, the team from Braga earned the best second half, after a goalless result at half-time, with the winning goals being scored by Fran Navarro (50 minutes), Paulo Oliveira (53) and Mario Dorgeles (59).
In the quarter-finals, the ‘arsenalistas’ will face the team that emerges from the duel between teams from League 3, Lusitano de Évora-Fafe, scheduled for next Saturday and which will close the ’round of 16′.
