Sparta Prague football players will play in the round of 16 of the UEFA Conference League in the spring. It was decided by their victory in the final 6th round of the league phase over FC Aberdeen 3:0, in which the Slovak winger Lukáš Haraslín contributed with a goal.
The “Reds” took the final 4th place with 13 points, and in addition to them, Racing Strasburg secured direct promotion, finishing first in the 36-member table.
The elite eight were completed by Raków Czenstochova, AEK Athens, Rayo Vallecano, Shakhtar Donetsk, 1. FSV Mainz and AEK Larnaca.
Sparta created an excellent position with two victories in a row. Legia Warsaw scored full points on the field and also got three points from the soil of the Romanian Universitatea Craiova.
At Letná, they needed to defeat the Scottish Aberdeen in the final without waiting for the results of their opponents. They laid the foundation for success in the first half hour.

The German 1. FSV Mainz was above the strength of his team, which defeated Samsunspor 2:0 and secured a place among the top eight. Šatko’s team took 12th place with 10 points and will play for the qualification.
Next up is the team that lost its only match against Slovak champion ŠK Slovan Bratislava.
Spanish Rayo Vallecano confirmed the role of favorite against Kosovar Drita and, after a 3-0 triumph, took the final 5th place with the only mentioned loss and a gain of 13 points.
The players of Sigma Olomouc celebrated their narrow progress to the qualification. Although the Czech representative lost his duel against Lech Poznaň 1:2, his progress was decided by the loss to Crai.
The Romanian team already led 2:0 on the field of AEK Athens, in the end they lost 2:3 and in favor of Sigma, the number of goals scored was higher in the tie with 7 points.
The Athenians scored two of the three goals in late stoppage time of the second half, while the winner came only in the 15th minute from a penalty kick converted by Luka Jovič. As a result, Sigma took 24th place.
The draw for qualification for the round of 16 is scheduled for January 16. Teams 9-24 will compete against each other. place. Teams up to the 16th place will be seeded, the rest will be unseeded.
