Considered one of the main revelations of Argentine football, Claudio Echeverri has a clear destination for 2026. After a quick passage through Bayer Leverkusenfrom Germany, the 19-year-old attacking midfielder will play in Gironafrom Spain.
The Spanish club, which also belongs to the City Football Group, entered into an agreement with the Manchester City to acquire Echeverri on loan until June next year.
The English team’s idea is for the Argentine athlete to gain playing time in Spain, in a team that uses its young players and seeks recovery.

At Bayer Leverkusen, however, City’s management did not see the Argentine get as much playing time as he would have liked. According to the newspaper ‘Sport‘, from Spain, Echeverri’s situation in Germany irritated English leaders.
Revealed by River Plate in 2023, the young Argentine played six matches and provided one assist in his debut professional season. The following year, in 2024, he scored four goals and provided seven assists in 42 matches.
