But then James Hagens took the wind out of their sails, when he first equalized at 39:15 and after 18 seconds of the third period, he sent the USA team into the lead for the first time. In the 45th minute, Will Zellers highlighted it with his fourth goal in the championship, the Slovaks only managed to reduce the score thanks to Tomáš Chrenko.
The 18-year-old talent Chrenko scored a total of three points (2+1) in the game, and in terms of productivity, with six points for five goals and a record, he ranks second behind the Canadian Gavin McKenna with seven points (3+4), but he is the best scorer.
