Slovakia made its last appearance at the German Cup where it finished second. In a direct battle for victory, they lost to the home team 0:3.
Coach Vladimír Országh initially nominated the following players for the matches in Banská Bystrica:
Goalkeepers: Eugen Rabčan, Stanislav Škorvánek
Defenders: Peter Čerešňák, Marek Ďaloga, František Gajdoš, Michal Ivan, Patrik Koch, Martin Marinčin, Dávid Mudrák, Mislav Rosandič
Attackers: Peter Cehlárik Lukáš Cingel, Marko Daňo, Martin Faško-Rudáš Marek Hrivík, Libor Hudáček, Miloš Kelemen, Oliver Okuliar, Kristián Pospíšil, Matúš Sukeľ, Samuel Takač, Tomáš Tatar
But in the end they dropped out of the nomination: Stanislav Škorvánek, Peter Čerešňák, Tomáš Tatar, Marek Hrivík, Miloš Kelemen and Peter Cehlárik.
The following joined the team: Dávid Hrenák, Patrik Jurčák, Dávid Romaňák, Sebastián Čederle, Filip Krivošík and Andrej Kukuča. Marek Hecl will also take part in the match with Norway, who will then be replaced by Patrik Hrehorčák in the nomination.
Norway last played a tournament where they met France, Denmark and Hungary. The second one ended up on him.
We last met the Norwegians at last year’s Kaufland Cup. Then we won 3:1 after goals from Gajdoš, Fašek-Rudáš and Tamáši.
