The Skyliners Frankfurt will end 2025 with a good feeling because they narrowly beat Heidelberg on Tuesday evening. In the end it was 80:75 (36:33) from the perspective of the favored Hesse team.
The Skyliners didn’t get off to a good start in the game against the bottom team in the Basketball Bundesliga. Heidelberg narrowly led 19:18 after the first quarter, but Frankfurt was able to turn the score around in the second period.
Frankfurt wins crime
Both teams fought a duel at eye level, with the home team once again in the lead in the third quarter. But Frankfurt had the last word and won the game in the final minutes. Point guard Isaiah Swope played a major role in this, scoring a total of 29 points and was the best thrower in Frankfurt’s white and blue jersey.
With Look at the table This away win means that the Skyliners will finish 2025 in tenth place. This would lead the Hessians into the play-ins. They continue in the new year on Saturday (6.30 p.m.) as guests in Rostock.
