The ministry allocated a total of RM450,000 this time to build a covered basketball court, a 550-meter-long walking path around the grass field, and outdoor fitness facilities.

He said that the covered basketball court has the function of sheltering from the sun and rain, and can provide a more comfortable and good playing environment.

He pointed out that since many children would go to the local area to play basketball in the evening, the community did have related needs.

He also revealed that before the covered basketball court was officially opened for use, some people had already taken the initiative to approach it, hoping to use the venue as a training base.

He pointed out that since there is basically a lack of covered basketball courts of this size in the Selayang area, some famous nearby teams, state-level and county-level basketball players have contacted him and informed him of their interest in using the court as a training venue.

“I informed at the time that arrangements would be made. After the covered basketball court is opened for use, I believe everyone can share this public resource according to the schedule.”
