PODGORICA – Former German football representative Sebastian Hertner died tragically at the age of 34.

The accident happened during a vacation in a ski resort in Montenegro. The footballer was together with his wife in the cabin of the cable car, which collided with the other cabin and he fell out of it. The woman suffered a broken leg.

Sebastian Hertner represented Germany in the under-18 and under-19 categories when he played for VfB Stuttgart. In addition, he wore the jersey of Darmstadt, Erzgebirge Aue, Munich 1860 or Türkgücü München.
