However, this was the Vietnamese women’s badminton team’s only victory in this match. After Nguyen Thuy Linh’s game, Vu Thi Trang lost to Ling Ching Wong 1:2 (14:21, 22:20 and 14:21).

In the third match between Vietnam and Malaysia, Vietnamese women’s athlete pair Pham Thi Khanh and Dieu Ly lost to Malaysian pair Pearly Tan and Muralitharan Thinaah.

In the fourth game between the two teams, Bui Bich Phuong finally lost to Siti Zulaikha from Malaysia 0-2 (19:21 and 19:21). In the end, the Vietnamese women’s badminton team lost to Malaysia 1-3.

Since there is no bronze medal game in the women’s badminton team competition at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, reaching the semifinals also means a medal is guaranteed.

After the Vietnamese women’s badminton team lost to Malaysia in the women’s team competition this afternoon, we missed the chance to win our first medal at this year’s Southeast Asian Games.
