SCP Japan Mazekoze Football Festival 2025 – SPORT FOR TOMORROW

■Business content

We held the “SCP Japan Mazekoze Football Festival,” and on the day, 50 people participated, regardless of age, gender, disability, nationality, etc.

■Project implementation history

SCP Japan works to “create a future where everyone can live their own lives through sports,” and this event was carried out as one of the initiatives to embody that philosophy.

■Business purpose

This project was implemented with the aim of using sports as a common language and creating an experience where people of diverse backgrounds such as age, gender, disability, and nationality can enjoy together while respecting each other’s differences. Using walking football, a rule that allows anyone to participate safely regardless of their physical characteristics, the team aimed to promote interaction and mutual understanding through sports.

■Business results

・Creating a place where a diverse range of people can enjoy sports together: From children to the elderly, disabled and able-bodied people, men and women, and regardless of nationality, everyone can experience walking football together under the same rules. With the rules of “no running” and “no collision,” we were able to create an environment where anyone could participate with peace of mind.
・Promoting inclusive interactions: A warm atmosphere of mutual concern and encouragement spreads throughout the venue through questions asked during rule explanations, shout-outs during matches, applause when plays are successful, and goal performances.
・Realizing a cohesive society through sports: Embodying the value of sports, which is not about winning or losing, but about “encounters, connections, and being able to be who you are.”

■Voices from participants and collaborators

“We were able to enjoy the same ground regardless of age, disability, or nationality.”
“The rules were easy and I felt safe participating even for the first time.”

■Challenges and lessons learned

・While we were able to create an inclusive atmosphere, it seemed that the relationships between the participants did not deepen enough as it ended up being just “playing together”. It is necessary to break ice and secure time for dialogue to promote interaction in order to create connections.
・While supporting a diverse range of participants through a small-scale management system, there were times when we were unable to follow up with some participants.
