The president of São Paulo FC, Julio Casares, took a formal stance this Tuesday to the forward cases involving aforementioned directors to the Ethics Committee in the scandal of clandestine exploitation from a box at Morumbis. The measure was taken through a letter sent to the president of the Deliberative Council, Olten Ayres, after the release of audios that indicate the participation of board members in a scheme for irregular commercialization of space during events at the stadium.
In the document, Casares requested that the Ethics Committee open procedure to investigate directors Douglas Schwartzmann and Mara Casareswho have already requested leave from their positions and can now be held responsible and punished as advisors.
The São Paulo Ethics Commission is composed of five memberschaired by Antônio Maria Patiño. The other members are José Edgard Galvão, Luiz Augusto Braga, Marcelo Felipe Neli and Milton José Neves Júnior — the panel responsible for evaluating the conduct of members and advisors in light of the club’s statutory principles.
