Sabar/Reza Win Gold: Beat Chia/Soh in Badminton Final

SEA Games 2025 individual badminton final title. In the men’s doubles, Sabar/Reza won two games over Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik. Go for gold!

The 2025 SEA Games final for individual badminton was held at Gymnasium 4, Thammasat University, Pathum Thani, on Sunday (14/12/2025). In the men’s doubles there is an Indonesia vs Malaysia duel, namely Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani vs Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik.

The first game started with a tight start and overtaking points. Sabar/Reza took a slight lead in the 11-9 interval.

Patience/Reza plays neatly and presses. Smash Patience made Indonesia still ahead 15-11. Sabar/Reza was unstoppable, reaching game point 20-12, then 21-15 because of Chia’s punch out.

Sabar/Reza took the lead 5-3 at the start of the second game, but it was equalized at 6-6. The score was tight again, Reza’s interception in front gave Indonesia a narrow 11-10 lead at the interval.

Patience/Reza tries to be calmer than Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik’s fast attacks. Reza cut the ball again in front to maintain a 16-13 lead.

Sabar/Reza achieved the gold point 20-17 after Aaron’s shot stuck in the net. Previously, there were two mistakes by Soh which resulted in points for Indonesia.

Sabar/Reza finally won 21-17. Again Soh shot out!
