Rovigo Sports Stars: La Voce di Rovigo Celebrates

Catwalk of athletes of all ages yesterday morning at the Bisaglia hall of the Censer in Rovigoon the occasion of the traditional sporting merit ceremony organized by Coni Rovigo, during which awards were given to athletes and sports clubs from Polesine who have highlighted themselves most in their respective disciplines in the 2023 season. Large, as usual, the presence of authorities with the Coni provincial delegate, Lucio Taschin, to do the honours, flanked by the president of Coni Veneto, Dino Ponchio, and introduced by the trustee Federico Brancalion (the most accredited to take over from Taschin at the end of his mandate).

In an atmosphere of great celebration, the morning continued with the delivery of the gold medal a Matteo Crepaldi (world team coarse fishing champion for nations); silver medal: Alessandro Zancanaro (third world boat black bass fishing championship for nations), Enrico Zancanaro (third world boat black bass fishing championship for nations); bronze medal: Stefano Byloos (Italian free diving champion in constant weight with equipment), Melissa Ferro and Matteo Luise (Italian historic rally car champions), Elena Richiero (Italian champion k2 500 meters, k2 1000 meters, k4 500 meters, k4 5000 meters – speed), Filippo Crepaldi (Italian baseball champion) and the Italian champions of Femi Cz Rovigo: Andrea Bacchetti. Matteo Ferro, Rafael Lertora, Edoardo Lubian, Nicola Pomaro, Nicola Quaglio and Paolo Uncini; bronze star executives: Roberto Frigatti (Free Cyclists Adria 2002), Maria Grazia Baroni (FederMotonautica), Adriano Zamana (Sicell Fulvia Tour Villadose), Sergio Sartori (Chi Rovigo); bronze palm: Alessandro Lodi (Italian champion coach with Femi Cz Rovigo).

Also assigned the award named in memory of Willy Paganiwhich was delivered to the scientific high school “Paleocapa” of Rovigo. A recognition that finds its roots in the stubbornness with which this branch of the Rovigo high school was kept alive, also thanks to the perfect synergy with CONI Rovigo of the provincial delegate Lucio Taschin. The award was given to former teacher Pia Poliero, also present at the event representing the Panathlon Club Rovigo. Some boys from “Paleocapa” participated in the ceremony helping to distribute the awards. Almost 70 (69 to be precise), finally the companies that have received the “Sportenziale” voucher from the Cariparo Foundation.

The ceremony concluded with the traditional group photo and with the thanks of the Coni provincial delegate Lucio Taschin to the team of Coni Rovigo trustees, made up of Federico Brancalion, Renzo Galvan, Paola Gazzi, Silvia Malachin, Angelo Rossi, Enrico Pozzato, Luigino Pelà and Jonathan Pasquali.
