Speaking at the award ceremony he attended in Dubai, the 40-year-old star said: “You know what my goal is. I want to win trophies and reach that number you all know, 1000 goals. If I don’t get injured, I will definitely reach that number.”

Stating that he is highly motivated to continue playing football, Ronaldo continued as follows: “It doesn’t matter whether I play in the Middle East or Europe, I always love playing football and I want to continue.”

Ronaldo, who was transferred to Al-Nassr in 2022, increased his total number of goals to 956 by scoring twice in the Al Akhdoud match, which they won 3-0 on Saturday.

Ronaldo, who scored 493 goals since the age of 30, also equaled the record set by former English football player Ronnie Rooke 64 years ago while playing for Arsenal, Fulham and Crystal Palace.

The star football player, who was stated to have received a salary of 75 million euros in his first contract, extended his contract with the Saudi team for two years in June 2025.
