Rögle BK Criticizes Tre Kronor’s Performance

For the Swiss Hockey Games, Tre Kronor took out several players who also played in the Finland Hockey Games.
Rögle’s coach Dan Tangnes is now critical of that.
– I find it difficult to see why some people should be at all these matches, Tangnes adds Helsingborgs Dagblad.

When Tre Kronor went out with the squad for the Swiss Hockey Games, it was a stated strategy from the confederation captain Sam Hallam to pick a large number of players who were also part of the Finland Hockey Games.

Rögle has thus seen both goalkeeper Arvid Holm and star center Fredrik Olofsson travel away with the national team both during November and December. Now coach Dan Tangnes is critical of Tre Kronor’s squad selection – and that the same player is selected twice in a short time.

– I have a hard time seeing why some people should be at all these matches. They are what they are, these national team tournaments, says Tangnes to Helsingborgs Dagblad.

Dan Tangne’s criticism of Tre Kronor: “Would have liked to see him at home”

Rögle has had major problems with injuries lately and Fredrik Olofsson has therefore had to play a lot recently. But the center now gets no chance to rest because he has to travel with Tre Kronor down to Switzerland. Rögle are therefore worried that Olofsson will get an injury during his time with the national team.

– For Fredrik’s part, who has had to carry a heavy load in terms of the ice age with many other injured people, of course I would have liked to have seen him at home, says Dan Tangnes.

At the same time, Dan Tangnes believes that he has not discussed the issue with the national team yet.

– No, I have not spoken to them. And I’m not going to get into any pie-throwing with the union either. This is one of those things that is beyond our control, that we cannot influence to any great extent. I just hope they come back fit, fresh and injury free.
