These are the days of unusually clear words from coaches of Austrian Bundesliga clubs towards their own club managers.
It was only on Sunday that the attacking coach Jürgen Säumel went on the offensive and publicly called for internal club support for himself and his coaching team in several interviews.
A similar strategy is now likely to be chosen at FC Salzburg.
“If we get some winter preparation…”
Kai Hesse, actually Thomas Letsch’s assistant coach at the “Bulls”, came to the forefront of Salzburg’s Europa League appearance in Freiburg because his boss had to sit out sick and probably used this spotlight to appeal to his own club management.
“I’m very confident that if we get some winter preparation – we had a week of preparation in the summer, then the Club World Cup started – things will look even better next year,” said the 40-year-old.
