Raimann Injury: Colts QB Out for Season

Setback for Raimann in the play-off race!

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones is probably in danger of ending the season. As ESPN reports, the professional football player tore his Achilles tendon in the NFL game against the Jacksonville Jaguars (19:36) on Sunday. The 28-year-old has to undergo surgery and will therefore be out for the rest of the season.

Jones had already gone down in the first quarter without any outside influence. He was unable to continue playing and was replaced by rookie Riley Leonard. Colts head coach Shane Steichen had already feared that his quarterback would be out of the season after the game. “Not sure, but it doesn’t look good,” he said. An official diagnosis is still pending.

A longer break for Jones, who had already played his team’s last two games with a broken fibula, would be a bitter setback for the Colts in the race for the playoff places. After the loss at the Jaguars, Indianapolis has a record of 8:5 wins.
