PSG vs Flamengo: Confirmed Lineups – Safonov & Lee Start

A great team for a great poster. PSG has the opportunity to win its sixth trophy of the year 2025 this Wednesday (6 p.m.) during the Intercontinental Cup which will pit it against the Brazilians Flamengo in Doha. For the occasion, Luis Enrique can count on an almost complete group and will be able to field a competitive starting eleven which still includes a few surprises.

True to form, the Asturian took everyone on the wrong foot and decided to line up Matvey Safonov in goal rather than Lucas Chevalier. Performing well since the Frenchman’s injury in Monaco, the Russian goalkeeper has a fourth consecutive start which also responds to a form of continuity and stability.

Marquinhos is fit

Luis Enrique’s other strong choice is in attack with the tenure of Kang-in Lee preferred to Bradley Barcola in the right lane of the attack. Not to his advantage against Bilbao in the Champions League, the French winger therefore starts on the bench, in the same way as Ousmane Dembélé.

The day after his victory at “The Best” prize, the world champion is still a little just getting started and gives way to Désiré Doué at the forefront of the attack. The Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia completes the attacking trio.

The rest of the Parisian eleven contains no surprises. Recovered from his hip muscle fatigue that occurred last week in the Champions League, captain Marquinhos is fit and starts alongside Willian Pacho in the center of defense.

Warren Zaire-Emery and Nuno Mendes occupy the corridors. In the middle, we find, of course, the three essentials Vitinha, João Neves and Fabian Ruiz.

The composition of PSG: Safonov – Zaïre-Emery, Marquinhos (cap.), Pacho, Nuno Mendes – Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz – Lee, Doué, Kvaratskhelia.
