PSG Victory Celebration: A Christmas Gift for Fans

The atmosphere was special this Wednesday evening at the Parc des Princes. No PSG match on the pitch, but a giant ice rink installed for the occasion and several screens to follow the duel against Flamengo, in the final of the Intercontinental Cup.

For the lucky few who had purchased a ticket for this “Winter Tour” at the Park (35 euros full price, 23 euros for children, every day during the break, except December 25 and January 1), the evening began with a “Stadium Tour”, a behind-the-scenes tour that is always impressive for fans. Yanis, a tourism student from Kabylia, is delighted: “It’s a legendary stadium. We never get tired of it. This kind of event brings us closer to the club, it’s more personal.”

Many decided to come with family or friends to share the atmosphere of this Christmas village in the heart of the stadium. “It’s rather calm, soothing, we find it very family-friendly,” says Tristan, who came with friends. “Plus, it’s special to be able to come and ice skate here at the Park! »

“We feel like we’re on the ground”

On the ice rink, smiles are everywhere. A young couple stops for a moment to look at the screen. “It’s great to be able to skate here. Usually there is match pressure, but this is the Christmas spirit. It almost feels like you’re on the pitch with the players! »

A little further on, Tristan and his friends, Baptiste, Clément, José and Pablo, savor the moment and make the most of it. “An ice rink and a Christmas market in this setting are impeccable. Usually, we have to leave quickly after the matches. There, we take our time, we take photos… We really feel at home, in the club! »

Mulled wine and stress in front of penalties

The tranquility of the evening will quickly fade when in Doha, the suspense intensifies. The score remains stuck at 1-1 and Julien, a very tense supporter, refuses to watch the epilogue. “When it was time for penalties, I went to lock myself in the toilet. I came out of my burrow hearing the cries of joy! This victory is one of the best Christmas gifts of my life, my club is officially sitting on the roof of world football! »

PSG supporters were able to follow the Intercontinental Cup final in the Parc des Princes, transformed into a Christmas village, with an ice rink and giant screen.

Stanislas, also relieved by the victory, will not forget this evening: “It was incredible, I thought we were going to lose but fortunately we won, it was an incredible experience, with the supporters and everything else. It’s great, thank you Paris! »

Despite the cold, no one was in a hurry to leave. With a few glasses of mulled wine and comforting churros, some sang along. “It was great, we laughed with everyone, we made friends! We ate well, we tasted everything! And then the experience of the ice rink was incredible,” says Tristan. A magical evening that Safonov’s exploits made unforgettable.
