PSG Ultras: Trocadéro Smoke Bombs Explained

We know a little more about what happened on Saturday evening in front of the Eiffel Tower (16th arrondissement of Paris), where around forty people were arrested for lighting smoke bombs after dark.

On social networks, several PSG supporter accounts shared images of the celebrations. This is the case of the “Virage Auteuil 1991” account, named after the stand where the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP) sing at each match. “The world is red and blue,” writes account X.

As of Saturday evening, the CFTC Police union reported an action carried out “apparently by the Paris ultra collective”.

On Saturday, these supporters gathered in front of the Parisian monument to celebrate the year that their club has just had, winning the Champions League for the first time in its history.

Around 8:50 p.m., these fireworks were set off from Place de Varsovie and the Trocadéro esplanade. The police headquarters announced that an investigation has been opened. There were no injuries.
