Pordic Badminton: Coach François Béroul Profile

Badminton was created in the town in September 1992, at the initiative of Jean-Jacques Le Gruiec. It was a section of the secular association. This transition from secular friendship to Badminton’Ic corresponds to the explosion in the number of licensees practicing badminton, in Pordic, but also in France. When the name changed in 1997, the club included around sixty members. explain the new co-presidents, Anaïs Jupille and Killian Passereau.

Licensed to the club for seven years

The office was heavily modified in June. But we can always count on the former members of the board of directors. They provide valuable help and a smooth transition. Today, the club has 126 members. In addition to the salaried coach, Constantin Demoy, the club relies on numerous volunteer coaches. François Béroul, who is also vice-president, is one of them. He has been a member of the club for seven years and has been leading classes for beginners for three years. I welcome beginners aged 18 to 77 and over every Monday, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. I teach the basics of this sport. Then, practitioners can move to a higher level and compare themselves with experienced players. But before moving to a higher level, some can participate in beginner interclubs.

François Béroul is a complete athlete. In addition to badminton, he practices surfing, padel and trail running. It was my children, Gaspard and Lucile, and my wife, Hélène, who made me love this sport. All three have been playing badminton for a long time.

François Béroul likes to pass on his experience. Thanks to my experience, I can make new practitioners appreciate this sport.
