Pogacar Sets New Coll de Rates Record: 24 Seconds Faster

Tadej Pogacar it never stops, not even in December. The reigning world champion, engaged in the first phase of preparation for the 2026 season, has already made headlines for impressive numbers recorded during training in Spain.

The Slovenian from UAE Team Emirates shattered the ascent record of Coll de Rateshistoric 6.4 km roughness at 5.5% frequented by professionals during winter rallies. According to data published on Strava, Pogacar completed the test in 11’57”at an average of 32.3 km/himproving by 24 seconds his own personal best set just a year ago (12’21” in December 2024). The time is 41 seconds lower than the previous reference of Peter Oxenberg (12’38”).
