Tortona (Gulliver Derthona – Pallacanestro Pavia 91-95) –Gulliver Derthona fights to the end, but gives up at the end: the Lions fall 91-95 against Pavia in the match valid for the eleventh first leg of the Serie B Interregional – Conference Nord. It is Derthona who sets the pace in the first ten minutes of the match against Pavia, which took place this evening at the PalaCamagna. The Juventus team finds the way to the basket with ease, moving the ball well and ending the first quarter ahead by 10 points. Pavia, however, reacts and, thanks to Wiltshire’s triple, gets closer to 43-40 in the 16th minute. In the final four minutes of the period Tortona tries to contain the Lombard offensive, but Pavia takes over, finding the overtaking basket at the siren. The teams thus go to halftime at 48-49. In the second half the intensity remained high on both sides, with the score remaining in balance for much of the time. Josovic and Bellinaso lead the first Juventus push of the third quarter, but the plays of Hidalgo, Wiltshire and Neri for Pavia from the bench overturn the inertia again, forcing the home team to close the half behind (65-72 at 30′). The Lions, forced to chase, found solidity in the last quarter and came back into contact, playing for everything in the final (89-90 in the 38th minute). The last minute opens with Pavia ahead 91-93. Derthona twice had the chance to equalise, but failed to score. Bogunovic’s free throws with 10” left definitively close the match. Gulliver Derthona comes out defeated within the friendly walls with the final score of 91-95. The next match will see Gulliver take to the pitch on Saturday 14 December, away at 6pm against Sangiorgese.
