Venezuelan Andy Borregales is experiencing a dream debut season in the National Football League (NFL), which is also enhanced by the resurgence of the New England Patriots who have established themselves at the top of the Eastern Division of the American Conference (AFC) and as one of the three best regular season records in the entire league.
In the last game, Borregales scored a field goal and three extra points in the Patriots’ victory over the Falcons by a score of 24-23 on November 30. The Venezuelan with his numbers surpassed the record for points scored by a rookie in a season for the Boston team and everything indicates that he will extend it with four weeks remaining until the end of the regular round.
Borregales broke the 21-year-old record
To date, the man from Caracas has a total of 105 points and surpassed the mark established by Stephen Gostkowski in 2006 of 103 points. Additionally, he finished the month of November with the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award.
In the 13 weeks of competition, the kicker has scored 23 of 26 field goal opportunities and 36 of 38 extra points.
