An exceptional poster. Paris FC will host FC Barcelona at the Jean-Bouin stadium and not at Charléty on December 17 for the 6th and final day of the league phase of the Women’s Champions League, president Pierre Ferracci announced on Monday.
He was speaking as part of the presentation of the expansion of work on the PFC training center, ultimately bringing together the women’s and men’s teams and their training centers. The women’s team usually plays its matches at Charléty and the men’s team at Jean-Bouin, a venue which it shares with the Stade Français rugby team.
Thiney retired from sport at the end of the season
Currently 12th and last qualified for the play-offs, the PFC travels to Norway at Valeranga on Wednesday for the 5th day. Ferracci also announced that Gaëtane Thiney, who spent almost his entire career at the club, would become “in a few days” sports director of the women’s section.
The 40-year-old former French international (163 caps, 58 goals) retired from sport at the end of last season after 25 years in high-level football. She joined the Juvisy club, which has since become Paris FC, in 2008.
