An essential member of the Zimbabwe national team, Marshall Munetsi is however not present at CAN 2025 which is being played in Morocco. The fault lies in an imbroglio between the Zimbabwean Federation and Wolverhampton, the 29-year-old midfielder’s current club. The latter was moved, terribly disappointed not to participate in the tournament, officially due to an injury which would have caused him to miss the start of the competition.

Injured or not, Munetsi in any case understood that his club was ready to sell him during the winter transfer window.
Paris FC wants to seize the opportunity
And precisely, according to our information, it is a club looking for experience which is currently knocking on its door, since Paris FC would be very interested in the idea of recovering the former Rémois. Munetsi had indeed been in the heyday at Stade de Reims for 5 and a half years, before being sold for €20 million to Wolverhampton during the last winter transfer window. A year later, he could therefore return to Ligue 1 if negotiations are successful between the two clubs.
Paris FC is looking to strengthen itself in the midfield, too easily perforated by opposing teams and lacking complementarity. With his technical background and power, Munetsi would be considered by coach Stéphane Gili as the ideal addition to this sector of the game for the second part of the season. But caution is required, because according to our information, several clubs are ready to compete with the Parisians, including FC Nantes and OGC Nice.
